Irene Anderson


I was born 9 September 1966 in Denmark. I moved to Sweden when I was two years old, now I live in Gothenburg.

Height: 5, 7 ft
Off-season weight: 209 pounds
Contest weight: 185 pounds

I have always trained; when I was younger it was mainly kick boxing. I started with weight training when I was fifteen.

My goal is to qualify to Ms Olympia.

I train my whole body once a week divided at 5 times, 4 sets with 8 reps and 3 or 4 different exercises on each muscle group. I try to change exercises now and then, to get some variation.
Monday – Chest/stomach
Tuesday – Shoulders
Wednesday - Legs
Thursday - Arms
Friday – Back/stomach
Saturday -Rest
Sunday - Rest

Before a competition I walk or bicycle one or two Hours per day.

My best body parts are my arms and shoulders and my focus now is to work hard on my legs.

I believe that you always have to eat well to feel good and to get the most out of your training. The only difference before a contest is that I cut down on fat, carbohydrates and the amount of food.

This is what I eat:
Fish, shrimps, tuna, chicken, eggs and red meat with salads and vegetables and rise. I use oil for cooking, peanuts for snacks.

Intrerests:
I love to spend time with my family and friends. Sometimes I paint and compete with my greyhound.
